WHY CCS?
Christian Parents choose The Charleston Christian School for the following important reasons:

• Covenental- Many may not be familiar with this Biblical concept. It simply means that we believe God has a special plan for the children of Christian Parents, and that we as Christian Parents have a very high responsibility for the Christian Education of our children. The purpose of CCS is to solely serve the children of Christian parents, by providing excellent academic instruction within a Christian framework. We at CCS are committed to strive for the very best for our children.

• Professional Caring Faculty- CCS hires degreed individuals that are concerned not only about academics, but also care about the spiritual growth and Christian character of our children.

• Effective Student Teacher Ratio- CCS endeavors to keep the number of children per grade to 15 or less to allow for more personal instruction time with the teacher.

• Sound Curriculum- CCS uses several different sources of curriculum for each grade and subject based upon content accuracy and consistent Christian world view.

• Biblical Accountability- Parents are ultimately responsible (accountable to God) for the Christian training of their children (e.g. Deut. 6:1-9, Ephesians 6:4). The ministry of CCS is designed to help Christian parents fulfill their biblical responsibility. In addition, since the school is a ministry of Church Creek Presbyterian Church, the school board and the CCS ministry are under the oversight of its spiritual leadership (Elders) who receive regular reports of its activities.

• Involved Parents- The CCS Parent Association (CCSA) is a critical part of the CCS ministry. This is where parents have the opportunity to get involved by planning, organizing, and orchestrating many school events that enrich the educational experience for our children. Much of what the CCSA does directly impacts and supports our teachers and staff.

CCS is a ministry of

Our denomination is the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). We believe that the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms contain an accurate summary of what the Bible teaches. Though these documents help us understand the Christian faith, the Bible itself is our only infallible rule of faith and practice.

We hold to the great historic truths of the Protestant Reformation. The doctrines of grace are to be taught and have practical relevance to our daily lives. We further believe that Evangelization is NOT just the responsibility of a few enthusiasts, but the distinctive mark of being a Christian.

Our purpose is to glorify the one, true, living God and to enjoy Him as His covenant people. This purpose demands that we offer to Him pure worship as He Himself has directed in His Word, and that by word and deed we proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called us out of darkness into the light of His only Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe in the sanctity of human life.
